Concrete Countertop Sealers
A common question with countertops is “Do they stain?” enPOXY and enSPARTIC are guaranteed to provide stain free performance.
- For outside projects consider Acrylic sealers that offer UV resistance. Urethane sealers are also UV stable and are designed to provide greater durability than Acrylic sealers.
- Liquid densifiers may be used in conjunction with wax but will require periodic rewaxing.
The enCOUNTER mix may be sealed with any sealer that is compatible with concrete but only enPOXY is water clear and 100% stain proof.
Before choosing a sealer, we urge you to familiarize yourself with the advantages and limitations of each product and discuss these options with your customer. In addition, please check with the sealer manufacturer to ensure the sealer you select is appropriate for the countertop environment.
Concrete Sealing Tip to keep in mind:
- Allow sufficient dry time after any treatment involving water before applying the sealer to avoid blushing. This may be 3 days or more depending on ambient conditions.
enPOXY
enPOXY is a two part, water clear, 100% epoxy that provides complete protection from house hold stains and chemicals. The high gloss shine may be buffed down to a satin finish and still provide stain and bacteria protection.
enSPARTIC
enSPARTIC is the most abrasion resistant sealer to date. Unlike enPOXY, enSPARTIC is a thin mil coating. It is not a heavy build product so it will not fill in surface depressions. Its advantages include being abrasion resistant, stain resistant and UV resistant.
